Provides health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of Physician by performing the following duties. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal. Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection. Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimen, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. Immediate opening for a Mid Level Provider in 3 Rural Health Clinics. Must be able to work well in busy surroundings and with the entire medical staff.
Education
(PA) Bachelor's degree, masters degree preferred.
Experience
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special skills
Ability to communicate effectively and ability to work compatibly as a team member with physicians and other staff members.

Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners, Texas Controlled Substances Registration Certificate (DSP)
