Total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient on the labor and delivery unit. Plan, provide and document discharge planning, teaching and educates patients, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assure that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel.
Experience
A minimum of one to two years experience in labor and delivery hospital setting preferred.
Special skills
Ability to communicate effectively and ability to work compatibly as a team member with physicians and other staff members.
License required
Current Texas licensure, certification in BLS, NRP and ACLS required.
