Responsibilities include but not limited to Preoperative, Intraoperative, PACU and stepdown. Nursing surgical care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient in the Peri-Operativel unit. Plan, provide, and document discharge planning, teaching and education of patients, family, or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assure that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision. On-call rotation required. Must be able to respond within 30 minutes.
Experience
A minimum of one-year experience in surgical services.
Special skills
Ability to communicate effectively and ability to work compatibly as a team member with physicians and other staff members.
License required
Current Texas RN licensure, certification in CPR and ACLS. PALS within 6 months of hire.
