Dr. Michael Gonzales was born in Beeville and now resides in San Antonio. He received his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He also completed his residency in internal medicine at UTMB Galveston and his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with the Mid America Heart Institute. He has been in practice with the South Texas Cardiology Institute since completing his cardiology fellowship.
Dr. Gonzales says "The best days are when I see patients who have recovered from an illness and are so appreciate of the time and effort I took when they were so sick. This revives my passion to provide quality care to those in need of help." When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Gonzales enjoys outdoor sports and collecting and restoring vintage muscle cars.
